Stages and Service

Purchasing Phase

• Expert support selecting the appropriate motor control product (Soft-start / VFD), VFD product line, harmonic filter and output filter.
• Advice on the correct equipment rating, enclosure protection class and heating and cooling methodology.

Design Phase

• Assistance with determining necessary overload capability.
• Planning advice on equipment layout and sizing for electrical building or for available space.
• Assistance in planning control wiring and strategy as well as VFD set-up and functionality.

Packaging / Integration Phase

SFC Energy Ltd. has a full service, CSA approved production facility where products are expertly integrated to meet application needs. Our project management team and production facility staff will take the quoted item and:

• Produce a customer approval drawing (if required)
• Order all equipment for the build
• Design the enclosure to house everything
• Mount all pieces mechanically
• Electrically wire all components
• Check all connections and mechanical positioning
• Perform function testing
• Perform customer final acceptance testing (if required)
• Pack and ship
• Submit documentation

Commissioning / Set up Phase

• Optional on-site commissioning service, including operation and maintenance training for operations, maintenance and engineering personnel”
• Set-up support by phone for functionality changes, motor changes and when parameters have been changed inadvertently.
• SFC Energy service provides support with commissioning worksheets and procedures (as requested).
• SFC Energy service provides operator and technician high-level training.
• For quantity orders, our Drives and Motor Control staff will provide detailed training.

Maintenance Phase

• 24/7 service line for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting questions.
• On-site repairs or repairs in shop for failures due to power issues, age, dirt/debris/moisture.
• Provide recommendations, quotes, preventive maintenance kits, repair parts, replacement fans, etc.
• Provide quotes, extended warranty, service plans, site maintenance audits, etc.
• Provide evaluations, quotes and retrofit solutions for obsolete drives from ABB and other manufacturers.
